After graduating from Richard Stockton State College and Seton Hall University School of Law, Jessica served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Paul J. Vichness, J.S.C. in Newark. From immigration matters and family law to criminal and municipal cases, Jessica brings a wealth of experience to her practice at D’Arcy Johnson Day, where she focuses on accident and personal injury cases, work injuries, medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, product liability, defective drugs, criminal law, and municipal court proceedings.
Jessica’s immigration law background includes experience as the Managing Attorney for Catholic Charities of Newark-Immigration Assistance, as well as work as an independent contractor in the nation’s capital, where she concentrated on immigration matters and corporation investigations and audits involving privilege reviews. Jessica also operated her own law practice in Atlantic City, where she focused on Criminal Law, New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency Litigation, and Immigration Law, while serving as Conflicts Public Defender for the City of Atlantic City.
The Supreme Court of New Jersey appointed Jessica to the State Ethics Committee, which carries out the investigation and analysis of potential ethics violations and attorney disciplinary actions. She was also appointed by the Honorable Julio Mendez to serve as an Eminent Domain Commissioner to preside over cases regarding issues of condemnation.
Fluent in Spanish as well as English, Jessica is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the New Jersey Hispanic Bar Association, and the Rotary Club of Atlantic County. She is approved by the State of New Jersey Office of the Public Defender as a criminal pool attorney for Atlantic and Ocean County and an Office of Parental Rights pool attorney for the Shore Region.
